My gf is also an expert seamstress. She got bored of my complaints that all ukulele bags are as exciting as a muddy puddle and made me a gorgeous polka-dot UkeSack.
I am no expert seamstress but I made the pattern myself and that was quite easy, just drew the shape of the uke straight onto a sheet of paper and used that as the base with a strip of fabric as thick as the uke all around.
I'm thinking of improving the model with pockets for the picks/ songbooks/ whisky flask...
