I've been a fan of Redbone's ...Great article, Gary. I've been a fan of Redbone's for a long time and have seen him live a few times in nice small venues where you really can appreciate his talent. He appears (or he did then, in the 80s) with just himself on guitar and a tuba player. <BR/><BR/>I read what he said about the recording industry and I do think this has held back a lot of artists such as Redbone from putting out new material. I'm hoping that advances in home recording techniques and the new online distribution methods will mean we can hear new work from them. Because it puts money in their pockets instead of bolstering the corrupt (and increasingly obsolete) recording industry, then I think there's a real incentive for artists to pursue this route.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
