Tuba Plays Uke

In the current Flashbacks section on Flea Market Music is the smiling mug of my dear friend, Tuba Heatherton. Tuba and I were clowns with Ringling together and he taught me my first uke tune "I Like Bananas (Because They Have No Bones)" on my pal and Ringling roommate Michael Goudeau's uke. And until I discovered Jim Beloff's songbooks four years ago, about my only song. Come to think of it, about the only other tune I had was "Sweet Georgia Brown" and Tuba wrote that out for me, too.
