Dig that craaaazy uke!

Luthier Peter Hurney at Pohaku Ukulele has just finished a couple of ukuleles with retro colors and pearloid fingerboards. Sassy and classy at the same time, and with the usual Pohaku quality.

Take a closer look at the Seafoam Concert...

I played that uke at the NorCal uke festival. It was quite nice. My daughter wanted me to buy it for her, but alas that was not in the budget.

A pearloid fingerboard??? That looks really cool. Black or carbon fiber would look cool too, though I doubt it is as pretty as cocobolo.

I have always wondered about the colored soundboards. The finish that goes on is thick. I'd like to do a sound comparison sometime.

Did you see that Rainsong (the people who make carbon fiber guitars) put out a poll and the 'ukulele is on the top of the list for what they should make next? I would love an instrument that you could play in between sets (waves).

I also played it at NorCal and it is stunning! I wish I could add it to my humble collection! A quality uke made by a quality guy!
