News about ukuleles and ukulele music.
Makes you kind of wonder what his voice sounded like, though, if his name was "Bleat."
"Edith liked and felt sorry for young Parvis...said he was the best ukulele player in the country." That's the quote. She probably had a brief affair with Parvis but ultimately married Bleat, who had more money...and who beat her.
Then Bleat lost it all in the Crash and went blind drinking bootleg hootch. Ended up on the wrong end of an ice pick over a gambling debt. Edith fell to raising chickens and crocheting antimacassars.
Gary!!! That was such a noir ending!
Who said it was the ending? Tag: you're it.
That image is from James Lileks' "The Bleat". I don't think he approves of people stealing images from his site.
Dear Anonymous,I love Lileks. Wouldn't steal a whit from him. Found it on this site:http://www.americanartarchives.com/artist_bios.htmOh, and if you talk to Lileks, ask him just what the heck a whit is, anyway...
